Presentation of two orthodontic-surgical cases:

• A case with sufficient decompensation
• A case with insufficient decompensation

Objective:
Through these two clinical situations, the goal is to highlight the importance of pre-surgical orthodontic preparation and the limitations the surgeon may face during the procedure.
A comparative analysis of a well-prepared case vs. a less prepared one will help better understand the technical constraints imposed on the surgeon depending on the quality of the prior preparation.
