In situ mandibular adjustment plates

During intermaxillary release, the on-site adjustment plate allows direct adjustment of the occlusal plane if necessary, without dismantling the osteosynthesis material. It thus prevents unpredictable lateral, vertical, or anteroposterior movements of the mandible.

The Natural Fit anatomical plate has been designed with an initial 3D shape that adapts perfectly to the shape of the external cortical bones of most types of mandible while limiting stress on the TMJ (compression or torque).

  • Alignment of the 4 holes in a circular arc to:
    • Cause clockwise rotation of the condyle during osteosynthesis, thereby avoiding posterior compression of the TMJ
    • Follow the shape of the basilar edge, thereby limiting the problem of basilar notch during significant advances
  • Spiroidal shape along its major axis, avoiding stress on the TMJ
  • Concave profile for good adaptation to the outer cortex
  • Curved proximal and distal ends to avoid stress on the TMJs

 

The Natural Fit adjustable plate allows:

  • On-site adjustment of the osteosynthesis without having to dismantle all the equipment
  • Optimal condylar positioning without compression during osteosynthesis
