iTero™ - Digital solutions tailored to maxillofacial surgery
“Today, digital technology is playing an increasingly important role in orthognathic surgery planning. The iTero camera is the key link between diagnosis, planning, and surgical execution.”
A continuous and controlled digital workflow
Intraoral scanners enable high-precision optical acquisition of the dental arches without physical impressions. The data obtained can be used directly for 3D orthognathic planning, pre-surgical orthodontic set-ups, and the manufacture of custom trays and/or guides and plates, limiting intermediaries and cumulative errors.
Optimized surgical planning
Precise capture of the occlusion allows for reliable visualization of pre- and post-operative situations as well as realistic simulation of maxillomandibular movements. The surgical plan is validated in advance and shared with the orthodontist, prosthodontist, and 3D planning platforms.
Time savings and improved intraoperative stability
The accuracy of the digital data reduces intraoperative adjustments, provides a more stable occlusion from the outset, and limits post-operative revisions and adjustments, both in the operating room and in the consultation room.
A central tool for interdisciplinary collaboration
The camera becomes a common language between the surgeon and orthodontist, facilitating the sharing of digital files and the synchronization of the different stages of treatment, while improving patient understanding and engagement.
