In-Kone® WD Healing & Cover screws
THE TENSION-FREE HEALING SCREW

Healing screws help shape the prosthetic emergence profile that will receive the final restoration.
Each screw format is available in two supra-gingival versions “flat” and “high” to suit different gingival anatomies.
The “high” profile is recommended in cases where the mucosa presents a height difference between the buccal and palatal (or lingual) aspects.
Healing screws have a nominal diameter slightly larger (+0.4 mm) than the associated prosthetic components. This facilitates the insertion of the prosthetic parts in case of gingival retraction.
In addition to color coding, a laser marking on the flat surface of the healing screw head indicates the format, diameter, gingival height, and prosthetic platform (WD).
This allows the clinician to easily identify the emergence profile (Ø and H) shaped by the healing screw in the mouth, and then select the most suitable component to match the recreated soft tissue architecture.
